212° Student Ministries is the high school youth group at Copper Pointe Church in Albuquerque, NM. It was started in June of 2006. While the logo had been around since the beginning, there hadn't been one unifying design. The church moved into a new building and new banners, slides, and other graphics were needed to advertise this rapidly growing ministry. Working with a small team of volunteer students, we created this new look and feel for the high school ministry.
Fine Arts is a ministry at Copper Pointe Church that helps students discover, develop and deploy their gifts in different arts. Fine Arts itself is branded on a national level as the logo with the multiple rings and the three word slogan. Copper Pointe wanted to take that branding and mold it into their ministry at the church. The left logo is the 212° Student Ministries' logo and the right logo is Copper Pointe's logo.
Wake is the College and Young Adult ministry of Copper Pointe Church in Albuquerque, NM. It has been around since spring of 2006. It was named Depth for the first two year, and then the name was changed to Wake. It got national spotlight when banners (labeled WTF for Worship, Teaching, Friends) were misunderstood as an accident. After that attention and as the church moved into its new building, they wanted to have a redesign and retire the "WTF is Wake" slogan. A tag line was never decided on, but this was the new branding
Each year, Copper Pointe Church's Fine Arts ministry's high school students compete on a national level in different cities around the nation. Most parents are not able to go with their child, so before they go, the church organizes a specific fundraising night where the high schoolers showcase their performances. A unified look and feel for the event was needed. Tickets and production videos were created. I recorded the event and created a DVD that parents could buy to show family and friends.
